A true tale from work that's too good not to share!

An ad that runs in several of our publications had a typo, and the client was PISSED! One of my graphic designers created the ad, checked it themselves, was double-checked by an asst. manager, the sales rep, and the client as well, yet it still made it to publication.

The typo - the toll-free phone number was supposed to be "888", but ran as "800".

And the kicker (and I know you all know what I'm going to say already)...

the phone number that ran? Yep - phone sex line.

Even though the client proofed it too, I'm pretty sure he's getting a free run at no charge as an apology...
